IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Ltd (“ITPCL”) is a SPV incorporated by IL&FS Group under the energy platform for implementation of the Thermal Power Project, at Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu.

Company Ltd.
IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Limited (“ITPCL”) is an integrated operating thermal power asset with captive port and mine ( yet to be operationalized). Currently 1200 MW ( 2 x 600 MW) operational since Sep’15 and Apr’16 respectively. Overall plant to setup 3180 MW thermal power plant in Kothattai, Ariyagoshti and Villianallur revenue villages of Chidambaram Taluk, Cuddalore District. The project is being implemented in Phases. Second phase shall have 3 x 660 MW.

Accolades by Mission Energy
Industry’s Roundtable Discussion with the Ministry of Power, New Delhi . Our MD, Dr Sanjeev Seth, in his role as Chairperson of the Council, had the honor of welcoming Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, IAS, Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Power, (MoP) and other distinguished government officials.
The meeting served as a key forum for industry stakeholders to present their concerns and recommendations for Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Indian Power Sector and had a meaningful interactions with MoP. Mr. Arun Kumar Subramaniam- Head of Power Sales, ITPCL, had also actively participated in the meeting to address the specific concerns pertaining to our power plant/Business.

8th Annual Conference
Mr. Murugesan was a speaker in an 8th Annual Conference panel discussion on “Flue Gas Desulphurisation Systems” which was organised by Power Line magazine held on July 3-4, 2024 at Le Meridien, New Delhi.
The mission of this conference is to discuss the genco experience so far in the uptake and implementation of FGDs, and highlight the issues and challenges faced by developers and discuss possible solutions.
Mr. Murugesan participated as a speaker in the panel discussion on the topic of Private Genco perspective on 03-07-2024.
Major participant of Genco operators in the conference is GSECL UPRVUNL, NTPC, Tata power, Apraava energy, ITPCL, NPL .
